The brief
The parish asked for an apple-sized, fully spherical ornament with a printed Nativity scene and a loop to hang it on a tree. The final artwork was still being agreed when the enquiry arrived, so the specification developed step by step.
From concept to specification
We first sent a concept rendering at about 100 mm diameter with a top hanging loop. The confirmed design settled on a 70 mm solid beechwood sphere. The front carries the Three Wise Men and a short Spanish scripture verse; later the parish added its logo to the back, printed in dark brown. Each change was re-quoted for both 130 and 200 pieces, and the parish chose 130.
Approval without a physical sample
To save time before Christmas, the customer chose to approve from a two-sided digital proof showing print dimensions and positioning instead of a physical sample. Production starts only after written approval of that proof, and is about 15 days after approval.
Choosing the shipping mode by deadline
We quoted three options to Madrid so the decision could be made against the Christmas date: air (around 15 days), rail (around 50 days) and sea (around 60 days). The customer chose air.
Distributor-friendly paperwork
Because the distributor delivers to the parish themselves, all invoices and commercial documents are emailed to them, no pricing is placed inside the individual boxes, and the customs documents travel with the shipment.
Questions buyers ask about projects like this
Can you make a fully spherical wooden Christmas ornament with printing?
Yes. We make solid wood spheres, for example 70 mm beechwood, printed on one or both sides, with a hanging loop and an optional individual box.
Can I approve a custom order from a digital proof instead of a physical sample?
Yes. A two-sided digital proof with print dimensions and positioning can be used when time is short. Production begins only after your written approval.
How long does air shipping from China to Spain take for a small order?
As a guide, air freight is around 15 days, rail around 50 days and sea around 60 days to Madrid. The final cost depends on the packed weight and carton size.
